Autodesk Construction Cloud Product Roadmap

We are focused on delivering on our promise of a unified platform to help connect teams and project data from design to done—reducing risk, protecting profits, and increasing predictability.

New functionality is released across our Autodesk Construction Cloud products regularly. If you're a product user, you will receive in-product updates about recent releases or subscribe to our newsletter to have product updates dropped in your inbox.

Administration and Project Standardization

Our roadmap for Administration and Project Standardization currently focuses on creating tools to help streamline project setup and create company-wide standards along with enhancements to our data federation capabilities.

Bridge Enhancements

Autodesk Construction Cloud users will be able to include subfolder(s) in a Bridge folder automation as well as view the historical activity log of their bridged projects.

Sample Project Templates in Account Admin

Autodesk Construction Cloud account admins will be able to leverage more specific project templates to kick off projects faster, such as General Contractor, Subcontractor, and Owner template.

Activity Log Export Functionality

Autodesk Construction Cloud account administrators will be able to export logs from the ‘Activity Log’ into Excel files.

Template Duplication

Autodesk Construction Cloud administrators will be able to duplicate an existing project template.

Document Management

Our roadmap for Document Management currently focuses on delivering more controls and flexibility for the Common Data Environment along with enhancements to the approval flow, models viewing engine, and standards.

Files Enhancements

Autodesk Construction Cloud users will be able to search and filter files within a package by attribute value(s) and select a file package within the Reference picker in the Correspondence tool.

Reviews Enhancement

Autodesk Docs project administrators will be able to allow step reviewers to suggest an attribute value during an active step.

Specifications Enhancements

Specifications users on web will be able to reference other tools in Build from a spec section. Android users will be able to use the Specification tool on mobile.

Construction Management

Our roadmap for Construction Management currently focuses on building tools that allow users to leverage models in construction, increase customization and support better control in cost and project management workflows including RFIs, Submittals and Correspondence and improve onsite scheduling.

Cost Management Budget Snapshots

Autodesk Build Cost Management users will be able to capture a “snapshot” of the project budget at specific points in time and compare different snapshot versions for quick analysis.

RFI Enhancements

RFI Reviewers will be able to add attachments to their RFI response when submitting it to the RFI Coordinator or Manager.

Submittals Enhancements

Submittals users will experience a new way to organize the Submittal items list, where Submittal items are grouped by package and bulk actions can be performed on entire packages.

Correspondence Enhancements

Correspondence users will have a much quicker way to send out a Correspondence to all members on a project. Additionally, the tool will support viewing the trimmed content of emailed replies, and iOS users will be able to create and send new Correspondence on mobile.

Schedule Enhancements

Schedule Managers who also use Oracle Primavera P6 will be able to connect their P6 schedule to the Schedule in Build. Additionally, Schedule users will be able to add references to a Task.

Assets Web Table Reorganization

Developing functionality to help teams save web table configurations by category with column order and field selections. Additionally, working to support more visibility into Forms and Issues associated with that category.

Asset System Import

Making adjustments to the Assets import template to add a “Systems” field in the import and mapping portion of the workflow.

Forms Attachments

Project members will be able to attach photos and files to individual questions or whole forms.

Create Issues on 3D models

Project members will be able to utilize the new model viewer public beta to create issues on 3d models.

Markups and Viewing Stamps

Project members will have the ability to create a stamp template and place a stamp onto a construction document.

BIM/VDC

Our roadmap for BIM and VDC currently focuses on bringing model qualification and conditioning to the unified platform and creating interconnected BIM solutions that provide easy access and value to stakeholders.

Save Configurations for Object Table

With the ability to save Object Table configurations, BIM Managers will be able to edit which columns are in view and their order for improved data visibility.

Object Table with Issues and Clash

BIM Managers will be able to quickly visualize and browse through model property data while reviewing clashes and issues, gaining a deeper understanding of why the clash or issue exists and how to resolve it.

Mini-Map for Model Aggregates

BIM Managers will be able to select the model to pull floor plans from and apply to the multi-trade model to easily navigate and place themselves in the model.

Create Issues | Revit Issues Add-In

This release in the Revit Issues Add-In will allow users to create Issues on the main model directly in Revit. These Issues will be available throughout the Issue Ecosystem in ACC.

Correspondence Enhancements

Preconstruction

Our roadmap for Preconstruction currently focuses on delivering a connected and powerful preconstruction experience for bidding, risk management, quantity takeoff, and estimating to help enable contractors to quickly and confidently win more of the right work.

Plan Room

Bid Board Pro users will have access to a new tool called ‘Plan Room’ where they can more easily discover new projects that GCs or owners have publicly shared.

BuildingConnected Pro & Cost Management Integration

BuildingConnected Pro users will be able to create contracts in Autodesk Build Cost Management directly from awarded bids in BuildingConnected.

TradeTapp Questionnaire Enhancements

TradeTapp users will see improvements to the questionnaire forms, helping subs fill out questionnaires faster.

Data and Intelligence

Our roadmap for Data and Intelligence currently focuses on creating in-product customizable reports, dashboards and additional features to help companies get actionable insights from their data.

A new tool that will support in-product customizable reports and dashboards across Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows to help companies and projects get actionable and flexible insights from their Autodesk Construction Cloud data.

Issues on Sheets

Autodesk Construction Cloud users will be able to create a Report with unique formatting and layout requirements to summarize Issues within the project.
